Welcome to Pinheiral Youth House – Santa Catarina College!

Located in the picturesque village of Pinheiral, in the municipality of Major Gercino, this house has a rich and varied history. Built in 1941 for the training of future Jesuit priests and brothers, the house soon underwent a change of purpose. In January 1959, the first class of Colégio Catarinense occupied the site, transforming it into their vacation home.

Since then, with brief interruptions, the Pinheiral neighborhood has been a refuge for students of Colégio Catarinense. Situated 550 meters above sea level and 127 kilometers from Florianópolis, the house offers a variety of activities for up to 70 people. Visitors can enjoy a sports gym, swimming in the lake, boat trips, hiking trails and a range of outdoor recreational activities, all supervised by experienced instructors.

The Pinheiral Youth House is occupied throughout the year, especially on weekends and holidays, by students, teachers, staff and other associations of the school. In addition to providing moments of recreation and leisure, the space aims to offer an environment for human and Christian formation.

The Pinheiral Youth House is a landmark in the region, featuring stunning architecture. However, it is important to mention that the Pinheiral Youth House is not open to visitors, and is for the exclusive use of students and staff of Colégio Catarinense.
